The Stephen Gautrey Challenge Cup: A Day of Fun, Football, and Charity

Vickers sponsored match mascots at a recent celebrity charity football event at West Riding County FA, and it was a day to remember! Hosted by the Howarth Foundation, this event brought together the Supporting Charities Celebrity Team - comprising of stars from Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, along with a sprinkle of ex-professional footballers to add to the excitement. They took on the Howarth Foundation X1, looking to follow on from last year's 2-1 victory over the celebrities. The backdrop of the Stephen Gautrey Challenge Cup set the stage for an action-packed day filled with family fun, great food, and of course, some stellar football talent.
Making a Difference
While the day was undoubtedly filled with entertainment and laughter, the underlying cause remained at the forefront - supporting the Howarth Foundation in their nobel endeavors. This fundraising event celebrating the life of Stephen Gautrey, a former Howarth Foundation client who sadly passed away in January 2023, not only brought people together for a day of fun but also raised awareness and funds for important charitable initiatives.
The success of the event was a testament to the community's spirit of coming together for a good cause and I think you'll agree our little mascots looked fantastic.
